EFE Scaling and Sustainability

EFE is a regional NGO that provides work readiness education to equip youth with employable skills through addressing labor market needs and bridging the gap between labor market demands of skills and the workforce’s education.

The project was funded by the Rockefeller Foundation with an objective to increase the scale and sustainability of EFE Egypt’s successful programs, to reach a wider impact.

CID Inc. assessed and recommended actions to widen EFE’s demand-driven employer’s network in the IT/BPO sector, as well as strengthened the NGO’s efficiency and internal operations to transform the organization into a sustainable business with an expanded reach and high impact in workforce development.

CID Inc. empowered EFE through studying the pathways for EFE Egypt to scale up programming through streamlining and increasing partnerships in the demand-driven digital jobs arena and the IT/BPO sector. Furthermore, CID Inc. proposed changes to EFE Egypt’s organizational structure to achieve the required growth in scale. CID Inc. also provided EFE with a business model that would enable its financial sustainability in such a way that would limit the organization’s reliance on donor funding. CID Inc. assessed EFE’s scalability potential through building its capacity to utilize EFE Egypt’s in-direct channels and claim ownership of their impactful intellectual assets.
