Egyptian Tourism Workforce Development Project (Phase I)

CID Inc. was sub-contracted by IBM Consulting (formerly PWC) to implement a pilot training program to hotel employees in four governorates. The project targeted employees in 2 - 4 star hotels and was implemented in a cascaded manner through Training of Trainers (TOT) programs.
 
Demand assessment surveys were conducted to identify human resource and training gaps in the sector. Databases were designed for the Federation to record and monitor the progress of the training process.
 
The Egyptian Tourism Federation acted as a focal point, coordinating between consultants, the Ministry of Tourism and targeted hotels. Guest satisfaction was monitored through the dissemination of customer satisfaction surveys in targeted hotels before and after training.
